Chas Finster is the father of Chuckie Finster. His wife died shortly after Chuckie's birth, leaving him a single parent. Two years after the events of the first film, at the wedding reception of Lou Pickles and his new wife Lulu, a mother-child dance saddens Chuckie with memories of his mother. Realizing that he and his son miss that female influence, Chas starts thinking of remarriage. During a family trip to EuroReptarland in Paris—joined only by the Pickles and Finster families (the DeVilles only appear at the beginning and end of the film)—Coco LaBouche, a child-hating executive, pursues Chas as part of a scheme to become president of the Reptar corporation. Coco wins over Chas, but Chuckie remains deeply distrustful of her. On her wedding day, Coco's plot is revealed, and Chas calls off the wedding. Kira Watanabe, Coco's assistant who already lives in Paris with her daughter Kimi, arrives and apologizes to Chas for not speaking up sooner. Realizing they have much in common, Chas and Kira develop feelings for each other. Returning home, they marry, and the Finsters and Watanabes become a new family.

In Their Own Story

At the wedding reception of Lou Pickles and Lulu, a mother-child dance saddens Chuckie with memories of his mother. Seeing his son's sadness, Chas realizes he and Chuckie miss a female influence in their lives and starts thinking of remarriage. The Pickles, Finster and DeVille families travel to EuroReptarland in Paris, where Coco LaBouche, a child-hating executive, pursues Chas as part of a scheme to become president of the Reptar corporation. Coco wins over Chas, but Chuckie remains deeply distrustful of her. At the Reptar show's premiere, Coco infiltrates the show disguised as a princess and lures Chuckie on stage. Seeing his son go to Coco convinces Chas that he should marry her immediately. On her wedding day, Coco's plot is revealed when Chuckie stops the wedding by saying his first word, 'No!'. After Jean-Claude and Angelica reveal Coco's plot and true nature, a disgusted Chas calls off the wedding. Kira arrives and apologizes to Chas for not speaking up sooner. Realizing they have much in common, Chas and Kira develop feelings for each other. Returning home, they marry, and the Finsters and Watanabes become a new family.
